About InlineStats

What is InlineStats?

InlineStats is a home for inline hockey statistics. It gathers league standings, tournament results and player stats from organizations around the world, from the PIHA and NCRHA to NARCh, State Wars and international championships, and puts every player, team, league and tournament on its own page so careers can be followed in one place. Browsing the site is free and doesn't need an account.

Where do the stats come from?

Every number comes from a league's or tournament organizer's own published results, listed under "Stats from" at the bottom of every page. InlineStats reads those results, links each player's records together across organizations and seasons, and builds the player, team and league pages from them. We follow each site's rules on automated access, so an organization that doesn't publish its stats, or asks not to be read, isn't included.

How often are stats updated?

New results are brought in regularly as leagues and tournaments publish them, so a weekend's games usually appear within a few days of the organizer posting them. The date at the very bottom of each page shows when results were last brought in. If an organizer corrects its own results, the correction comes through on the next update.

Which leagues and tournaments are covered?

Professional, semi-pro and amateur leagues (such as the PIHA and MIHA), college hockey (the NCRHA), high school leagues, national federations in Europe, the major North American tournament series (NARCh, State Wars, TORHS, IIHS, Florida Cup, Pacific Cup, US Roller Cup and more) and international events like the IIHF and World Skate championships. The Leagues and Tournaments pages list everything, and new organizations are added over time.

Why don't some tournaments have stats?

Ironman, 3-on-3 and other events played under different rules from normal inline hockey are listed on the tournament calendar but never counted in anyone's stats, standings or results, because their numbers aren't comparable. Some organizers also don't publish player stats at all, in which case only their events and team results appear.

Why can't I find my youth division?

Divisions younger than 14U aren't included anywhere on InlineStats. Stats start at 14U, which covers high school, junior, college, adult and pro hockey, and the youngest players' games stay off the site.

What do the medals and trophies mean?

Tournament finishes are shown as medals: gold for champions, silver for runners-up and bronze for third place. League championships are shown as gold trophies, and a team's or player's trophy count includes championships won only, not second or third places.

How does "Most Viewed This Week" work?

It ranks player pages by how many times they were viewed over the last seven days, on the Players page. Refreshing the same page within five minutes doesn't count again, known search-engine robots are ignored, and pages that were merged count together. Each player page also shows its total views under the player's name.

Your Player Page

My stats are wrong. How do I fix them?

Stats come from the league's or organizer's own results, so if their results are wrong, asking them to correct it fixes it at the source and the correction comes through on the next update. If you've claimed your page, you can also send a stats fix from your dashboard with proof, such as a game sheet photo, a video or a link to the league's results; once it's approved it appears on your page and stays there through future updates.

I have more than one page. Can they be merged?

Yes. The same player often appears under slightly different spellings across organizations, and InlineStats merges pages it can confirm belong to one person. If you find yours split, claim one of them and use "Something Else" on your dashboard to name the other pages; once merged, the old addresses forward to your one page.

My name is spelled wrong. Can it be changed?

Yes. A misspelled name usually comes from one organizer's roster, and once corrected on InlineStats the right spelling is kept even when that organizer's results are brought in again. If you've claimed your page, send the correct spelling through "Something Else" on your dashboard.

Why is my height, weight or birthday missing or wrong?

Bio details come from what players entered on their league's or tournament's own site. Entries no one could have (like 9' 99" or 900 lbs.) are removed automatically, which can leave a detail blank. If you claim your page you can enter your own bio, including your birthday and weight in pounds or kilograms, and once approved it takes the place of the imported details.

Can I add a photo to my page?

Yes, once you've claimed your page. You can upload a headshot or a game photo from your dashboard, and every photo is reviewed before it appears. Photos of players under 18 are allowed, since InlineStats follows prospects as well as adult players.

What is the Player Summary?

Owners of a verified page can have InlineStats write a short summary of the career, taken from the page's stats, titles and awards, highlighting the biggest accomplishments first. The owner can show or hide it and have it written again at any time, but can't edit the wording, so every summary stays based on the record.

Claiming Pages

What does claiming a page mean?

Claiming a page proves it's yours (or your child's, team's or rink's) and makes you its verified owner. A verified page gets a gold verified badge and look, and you can send in changes to it, such as a bio, photo, stats fixes, a team's logo and colors, or a rink's address, hours and contact details. Everything you send is reviewed before it appears.

Which pages can be claimed?

Player pages, team pages, coach pages (which you create when you claim them) and rink pages from the Map. League and tournament pages belong to their organizers and can't be claimed.

How much does claiming a page cost?

Your first page is $19 a year, the Founder's Price (normally $29), and every page you add after that is just $9 a year, all renewing together on one date. Pages you add partway through the year are charged only for the time left until your renewal date. Creating an account and browsing the site are free.

Can I claim my child's page?

Yes. Choose "I'm the player's parent or guardian" when you claim, and instead of a photo of your own ID, send a photo of your child holding your ID. Families with several players can claim every child's page, each one after the first at $9 a year.

Why do you need a photo of my ID, and what happens to it?

The ID photo is how we confirm a page really belongs to the person claiming it, so nobody can take over a page that isn't theirs. Only our reviewer sees it, it never appears on the site, and it's permanently deleted as soon as your claim is approved or declined; it's never stored anywhere for anyone to retrieve. Photos sent as proof for stats fixes are deleted after review too.

How long does verification take?

Claims are reviewed by a real person, usually within a few days of being paid for. You'll get an email when yours is decided, and you can see its status on your dashboard at any time.

What happens if my claim is declined?

You'll get an email explaining why, and you can send a new claim with more proof, such as a link to your social media, a team photo or someone we can contact. What you paid for a declined claim isn't refunded, so it's worth sending everything that helps the first time.

How do coach pages work?

Coaches don't have pages until they make one: claiming a coach page creates it, with your name, photo, bio and the teams you coach. Once approved it goes live with a verified badge and is linked from each of your teams' pages, and you can keep it up to date from your dashboard like any other page you own.

Can more than one person own a team page?

Yes. A team page can have up to three owners, for example its owner, coach and manager, and each one claims it and pays for it separately. The owners share the page's verified look and summary, and each can send in changes for review.

Can I hand my page to someone else?

Yes. From your page's Manage screen, enter the new owner's email and they'll get a link to accept it, for example when a parent passes a page to their child at 18. Once they accept, the page and its verified badge move to their account, it comes off your billing at your next renewal, and it stays paid until then, so they don't pay until your paid time runs out.

Billing and Your Account

How do renewal and cancelling work?

Claims are a yearly subscription that renews automatically on the same date each year, charged to your card on file. You can stop any page from renewing, or cancel everything, from the Billing section of your dashboard at any time; the page stays yours and verified until the end of the year you paid for, then stops being verified.

Can I get a refund?

Payments aren't refunded, including for claims we can't verify and for the rest of a year after you stop a page from renewing. You keep everything you've paid for until the end of your paid year.

How do I change my email or password, or reset a forgotten password?

Open Account Settings on your dashboard to change your email, which is confirmed from the new address before it changes, or your password, which signs you out on your other devices. If you've forgotten your password, use “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in page to get a reset link by email.

How do I join or leave the newsletter?

Tick the newsletter box when you create your account, or turn it on or off any time in Account Settings on your dashboard. Every newsletter also has an unsubscribe link. Emails about your account, like claim decisions and password resets, still come either way.

What information do you show, and what do you keep private?

Pages show the stats and results organizers publish, plus whatever a page's verified owner adds and we approve, like a bio, photo or a team's links. Email addresses are never shown, ID photos are deleted after review, and card details are handled by Stripe and never seen by InlineStats. The Privacy Policy has the details.

How do I find a team, or players for my team?

The Find a Team board lists players looking for a team and teams with open spots, for upcoming tournaments, an organizer's events or a league season. Anyone can post for free, each post comes with a private link to remove it, and posts leave the board when their event is over or after 60 days.
